Referral Coordination
Referral Coordination Services
Referral coordination services are available to help students connect with ongoing therapy off campus. During your initial assessment at UCS, you will be offered a referral coordination appointment when referred to therapy in the community. Students may also wish to connect with the referral coordinator after completing therapy at UCS to research and find an ongoing therapist outside of OSU.
The referral coordinator will support you throughout the process of finding a therapist who is a good fit for you. UCS has a referral database of therapists across the state with a wide range of expertise. Need-based funding is available to students who may not have the financial resources to cover the cost of seeing a therapist in the community. The referral coordinator can help students through the funding process.
Students often have questions about finding a good fit, financial concerns or worry about time and access constraints. The referral coordinator’s role is to provide a tailored list of referrals to meet students’ preferences and needs, clarify insurance benefits and help navigate any cost concerns.
